Get Ahead of Your Renewal Book With Broker IQ

Streamlined Renewal Process to Accelerate Broker Efficiency

Insurance renewals are a critical juncture in the broker-client relationship. They're your opportunity to build trust, showcase your expertise, and demonstrate your commitment to finding optimal placements at competitive prices.

But managing a renewal book well is harder than it looks. Tracking accounts across a flood of emails, filling out lengthy applications, prepping for client conversations — it all takes time you could be spending elsewhere.

Three new tools in Broker IQ give you more visibility into your book, more context for your client conversations, and a faster path to renewing certain accounts. Here's what's available now.

See your entire renewal book at a glance

When your renewal book is large, it can be challenging to keep track. Now Broker IQ includes a Renewals tab that gives you a single, interactive view of all your Coalition cyber renewals expiring in the next 90 days. No more piecing things together from individual emails.

You can see each account's status and next step at a glance, quickly identify which accounts need your attention and which are already on track, and monitor your quarterly renewal premium, all from one place.

The new book-level view is available now in Broker IQ for US and Canada (excluding Quebec).

Renew eligible accounts in three questions

Not every renewal requires the same level of effort. Some accounts are straightforward enough to renew automatically. Others need a full application and underwriting review. But plenty fall somewhere in between.

That's where Express Renewals comes in: a new, lighter-touch renewal pathway for accounts with stable businesses, minimal changes year over year, and a clean track record. That means faster turnaround for your clients and fewer full applications to coordinate on your end.

Get Ahead of Your Renewal Book 2

Express Renewals delivers a new, lighter-touch renewal pathway for accounts with stable businesses, minimal changes year over year, and a clean track record.

For eligible accounts, brokers simply need to confirm answers to three short questions:

  • What is the insured's current annual revenue?

  • Have any new domains been added to the business?

  • Have there been any changes to business operations? (such as M&A activity, new business lines, or other significant operational changes)

Once you confirm the answers, or let us know nothing has changed, Coalition issues an updated quote. The policy automatically binds and issues seven days before expiration, with no signed signature bundle required. Express Renewals is available now for eligible US accounts (Surplus and Admitted) and can be completed directly in Broker IQ or via email. See more details here

Please note: Express Renewals is not yet available in Canada.

See exactly what's changed from last year

When managing renewals for multiple clients, it’s easy to lose track of what’s changed from one year to the next. Changes in limits, policy dates, business operations, or coverage can all have a major impact on premium. Without this information readily available, you can be caught off guard during client conversations, potentially undermining your preparedness and professionalism.

The Year-Over-Year Changes document solves this by helping you prepare for renewal discussions. This easy-to-read summary provides a comprehensive overview of key changes that have occurred within an account since the policy was bound.

When a new renewal quote is issued, the Year-Over-Year Changes document shows how the new quote compares to the expiring policy, including:

  • Application data changes

  • Insuring agreement additions, removals, limit changes, and retention changes

  • Endorsement additions and removals

  • Company information changes, such as state, industry, employee count, revenue, and web domains

  • Security and risk contingencies required to renew

  • Coalition claims data from the last five years

This detailed breakdown empowers you to have more-informed conversations with your clients, enabling you to address potential concerns proactively in advance of the renewal date.
